You could discover something new in London every single day. Yesterday I discovered that there is a roof garden on the top floor of John Lewis on Oxford Street. It’s so peaceful up there far from the madding Oxford Street crowds.
The garden has been designed by Tony Woods, RHS Young Garden Designer of the Year 2013, whose winning design was based on achieving tranquility and escape even in an urban garden.
I was there in the afternoon and there was lots of space and seats available. There’s a Joe & The Juice pop-up there for drinks and snacks.
You’d better be quick though. The roof garden is only open for a few more days – it closes on Sunday 31 August.
The Roof Garden is open daily 10am – 4pm (Sunday 11.30am – 4pm) until 31 August. John Lewis, 300 Oxford Street, London, W1C 1DX
