Henne Organics Rose Diamond Exfoliator review

Liplicious Henné Organics Luxury Lip Balm & Rose Diamond Lip Exoliator

Henné Organics is a fairly new American company offering two ecoluxe lip products – a balm and lip exfoliator – all USDA organic certified with 100% natural ingredients. I’ve read a lot of raves about the balm so was keen to find out if was all just hype or not….

Henne Organics: “Our vision is to reintroduce a splash of luxury into the everyday without sacrificing design, ethics or one’s health.”

Well those are sentiments I can always get behind.

First impressions are good. Elegant packaging with the product housed in petite miron glass jars. Aside from looking chic, miron helps to naturally presevere and protect the contents.

Henné Organics Luxury Lip Balm* Review

This is the original Henné Organics product and I’ve seen it get a lot of love. Would it be a winner for me too?

The yellow balm has the texture of whipped butter with a scent that reminds me of a chocococo cake frosting I make. That level of scrumptiousness is thanks to the mix of coconut oil and cocoa butter, think Bounty chocolate bars yummmmm. Other nourishing ingredients include shea butter, avocado and jojoba seed oils. All organic. There is also organic beeswax so not one for vegans.

Once applied to the lips, the balm melts in and doesn’t just sit on the surface but sinks in leaving them feeling softer. I like to use this as my overnight lip treatment. I’m never crazy about dipping my fingers in lip pots….hygiene and all….. but this is so good i’ll let that pass. It’s pricey (though not outrageously so) but totally worth it.

Henné Organics Rose Diamond Lip Exfoliator* Review

Being the lipstickaholic I am, keeping my lips smoochably smooth is an absolute must. I’ve used toothbrushes, muslin and various lip scrubs – none of which have been particularly pleasurable to use. Would this be a game changer?

Henne Organics Rose Diamond Exfoliator review

Open the jar and you’re greeted with a pretty, pale pink, delicately rose fragranced concoction. The delightful blush pink colour is entirely natural from red chokeberries. The rather heavenly smelling scrub – think authentic rosewater scented Turkish delight – is practically edible (shhhh let’s keep it between us that I might have licked my lips a few times when using). The all natural, USDA organic food grade ingredients include sugar, coconut oil, vanilla and rose oil so no harm if it should pass your lips.

You only need to use a tiny amount. The sugar in the scrub dissolves as it is rubbed in, removing all dead skin and leaving lips feeling petal soft. Using it feels pampering and a pleasure to use rather than strictly functional. The Rose Diamonds Lip Exfoliator is a girl’s/boy’s/anyone with lips best friend. Henné Organics Rose Diamonds Lip Exfoliator is like the Beyoncé of lip scrubs. A touch of bling and really rather fabulous. The only way it could be better is if it could apply itself.
