As you guys know I LOOOOOVE Japanese food so when I hear the words combined with bottomless brunch. I am all ears….or should that be all mouth.
I was invited down to Issho-Ni restaurant n Shoreditch to try their Bottomless Sushi Brunch available on Saturdays. The neighbourhood Japanese isakaya style restaurant has been around for 3 years, founded by Claire Su whose family previously ran a noodle bar in the same spot. The head chef, Eduardo Aguiar, has worked at some of the best Japanese restaurants in London including Roka and Chisou so my expectations were quite high.

First impressions were that the menu was classic Japanese but with a twist. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. Good for dates and with friends.
So let’s take a look at the Issho-Ni Bottomless Brunch and see if they delivered.
Issho-Ni Bottomless Brunch Menu
There is a set menu of items to star with, which are all available unlimited. Here is the selection you get at the Issho-Ni Bottomless Brunch.
Starters, Sushi & Sashimi
Unlimited serving of the following dishes

Seaweed salad (perfectly balanced dressing made this very moreish)
Edamame
Kimchi (btw the best kimchi I’ve ever tasted in my life)
Wasabi peas
Salmon and seabass sashimi
Spicy salmon, salmon avocado, veggie and prawn tempura maki rolls (these all had a little twist with the sauces. My faves were the spicy salmon that had jalapeno and the veggie with shiso and plum sauce)
For purely plant based eaters, I’m afraid the menu didn’t mention if there were vegan alternatives available.

There is no food waste going on, you can only order more when your plates are clean.
Issho-Ni Bottomless Brunch Main Courses
The bottom brunch menu includes one hot main dish per person. There was a selection of classics including veggie options. We chose the aubergine and salmon dishes.
Nasu Dengaku (Fried Aubergine)

The aubergine was delish and beautifully presented. The spring onions really lifted the flavour
Salmon Teriyaki

The salmon was a teeny bit overcooked for my taste but full of flavour.
Fresh and flavourful are the two words that spring to mind about everything I ate.
Bottomless Drinks (optional extra)
There is also the option to add bottomless drinks – either Prosecco or Bloody Geisha, Issho-Ni’s spicy twist on a Bloody Mary that went down very well

The Bloody Geisha contains vodka, tomato, japanese spice mix, kimchi mix

Overall it’s a thumbs up from me. I had a peek at the ala carte menu and my mouth began to water. If you like good food and good vibes then Issho-Ni is a good shout.
£36 per person for bottomless brunch, optional £17 per person for bottomless drinks
