Momineral purple lipstick

Lipstick Lust: MoMineral Exotic Lipstick ~ Organic Purple Lipstick

Looking for an all-natural, vegan friendly, pigment packed, proper purple lipstick? Well step this way my friends.

My long-standing love affair/adoration/obsession with purple lipstick is not news to you if you’ve been hanging around these parts a while. Do I have enough purple lipsticks? There is no such thing as ‘enough’ so the answer is no. And if it’s made with natural ingredients it would be downright rude of me to resist.

The latest giver of multiple purpgasm is ‘Exotic’ from MoMineral. Would you look at that colour #swoon.

Momineral purple lipstick

MoMineral is a new British beauty company offering natural makeup including mineral foundation with 12 shades for darker skin tones. As I’ve mentioned before, the struggle to find complexion options for my skin, especially in the UK, is very real! So it’s always great to discover a new company meeting this need. The MoMineral range also includes loose eyeshadow powder, lipstick, lipgloss and blush, which of course work on all skin tones.

MoMineral ‘Exotic’ Lipstick Review and Swatches

Momineral exotic lipstick review

MoMineral Exotic is a true purple. Not plum or pink but proper purple.  The pigmented colour you see in the bullet is what you see on the lips. The lipstick has a zesty tangerine scent that doesn’t linger for long after application.

The creamy texture is almost balm like and feels very comfortable on the lips. No surprise looking at the 100% natural ingredients list from MoMineral which consists of nourishing plant waxes, oils and butters with mineral pigment. In hot weather, I would keep this lipstick somewhere cool to avoid any breakage.

The purple colour glides smoothly with no patchiness giving semi opaque coverage in a swipe. When Exotic is first applied there is a slight metallic finish which wears off to a satin. On my yellow undertoned skin the colour leans towards violet – on those with cooler undertones the colour pulls grape.

Exotic is the best all-natural purple lipstick that I’ve found so round of applause MoMineral. If you’re looking for a natural alternative to Lipstick Queen’s ‘Stella’, this is a dare I say better version and at half the price, though you don’t get the same luxe packaging. I plan to check out the mineral powder foundation (made without any ‘nasties such as Bismuth Oxychloride, fragrance, dye, preservatives, talc or nano particle minerals) as MoMineral offer free samples and will report back.

  1. This is a Lynda! Clearly! Looks so beautiful on you, I am still unable to breathe. GASP. Seriously. I’m turning blue… 😉
…if my monitor is worth its money, this is a rather neutral-looking colour? My skin somehow makes cool colours into icy flashes and warm colours into heated melt. As in, corals look orange; cool pinks look hot pink etc. Only neutrals work – but holy moly, are they hard to find.

    1. *does CPR* 😊 thank you i think it’s a stunning colour.
Yes it’s a neutral purple doesn’t pull more red or blue but right there in the middle. I’d love to go lipstick whispering with you 😺

    2. Yasss! Let’s do a green beaut’ Skype sesh at the very least!
