When the weather outside is frightful. Drinking hot buttered rum is most delightful. Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow!
Hurrah we’ve finally got proper snow in London. I know it’s causing disruptions left, right and centre but snow is just so magical! I don’t know if people who’ve seen snow their whole life feel the same but my heart leaps at the first sight of snow flakes. Every time.
The downside is that I hate the cold so finding ways to keep warm is essential. This hot drink hits the spot. Hot buttered rum just sounds delicious doesn’t it. Hot. Buttered. Rum. Yum.
Traditionally recipes use butter but I knew coconut oil would work well with rum so this is practically a health drink! I also sometimes add this mix to black coffee and you could leave out the rum and add lemon or apple juice for a virgin version.
