It’s no secret I’m a lipstickaholic and always on the hunt for the next new lipstick fix. My latest discoveries are from Glo & Ray, a ‘those in the know know’ British colour makeup brand that’s all about celebrating colour and light. The company name is ‘Glo’ as in glow and ‘Ray’ as in a ray of light. They have recently relaunched their La Amo Creamy Matte and Shimmer lipsticks and I was sent two to put to the test.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Looking sharp Glo & Ray. Looking sharp. I like the clean lines and monochrome lacquer look casing with a modern font. In my whole 100+ lipstick collection I’ve only got one other lipstick in a red case so the La Amo Shimmer immediately stands out.
GLO & RAY LA AMO LIPSTICK REVIEW

GLO & RAY LIPSTICK LA AMO LIPSTICK SWATCHES
This is one swipe, which as you can see gives full opaque coverage. Whoa, talk about packing a pigment punch. The colour you see in the tube is what you get on the skin. We’re talking serious pout power.
- Passion 616, Glo & Ray La Amo Creamy Matte: Fuchsia lips are my jam. They just work with my skin and perk up my face with minimal other makeup. This is a really easy to wear lipstick that I’ve been swiping on most days this spring. As it wears off, it leaves a stain that requires serious elbow grease to remove.
- Marigold 644, Glo & Ray La Amo Creamy Shimmer: a bold bright orange that screams sunshine. Juicylicious.

The two colours work well together for a tropical ombre look

These Glo & Ray lipsticks are the epitome of colour pop, perfect for rocking in the spring and summer sunshine.

Those are gorgeous! I now NEED to buy Glo & Ray lipsticks: I have a shadow quad and the Pop eyeliners, which are AMAZING – one of my best buys last year! x
I’ve just had a look at the eyeliners. Whoa I absolutely NEED! x
