Two of the leading organic makeup artists and makeup line founders, Rose-Marie Swift of RMS and Kirsten Kjaer Weis of Kjaer Weis, have launched new products that I’m keen to check out.
RMS LAUNCH PALETTES AND NEW DARKER UN-COVERUP
Gotta say I did do a little squeal when I saw these brand new palettes coming soon from RMS. The RMS Lip2Cheeks get a lot of love from me (you can read my review and see swatches here). They last forever and ever and ever and ever and a day. Despite using nearly every day for a good 18 months, I’ve never managed to finish a pot so smaller amounts in a palette sounds absolutely perfect. I’ve also heard that a darker shade 66 of RMS un-coverup which Rose-Marie mentioned was coming when I met her a couple of years ago is also on the way – hurrah!
RMS Beauty The Mod Collection palette

The Mod palette features the Master Mixer, Living Luminizer, Lip2Cheek Smile, Lip2Cheek Spell, Simply Cocoa Lip & Skin Balm
RMS Beauty The Pop Collection palette

The Pop palette features the Buriti Bronzer, Magic Luminizer, Lip2Cheek Beloved, Lip2Cheek Demure, Simply Vanilla Lip & Skin Balm.
Which one do you prefer? I’m leaning towards Mod. The two palettes are due to be launching for $44 on rmsbeauty.com on 18 March 2017. No word on when/if they’ll they reaching retailers in the UK.

KJAER WEIS LAUNCHES THE BEAUTIFUL OIL

Kjaer Weis is another one of my long time green beauty (make that any beauty) makeup faves. Head here for an overview. Now the Danish makeup artist behind the range has added the first skincare item, The Beautiful Oil, to be used as a primer under foundation. The oil is causing quite a stir due to the eyewatering price tag – £180 for 65ml, £152 for refills. When you break down the price per ml (£2.77) it actually works out cheaper than quite a few other luxury oils.
Looking at the ingredients list, the star ingredient is biodynamic Dioscorea Batatas, also known as cinnamon vine or Chinese yam. It’s a plant traditionally used in Chinese medicine. Also known as the “light root” and ”fountain of youth”, it is said to give an amazing glow to skin. I am a complete oil junkie so am very intrigued to see exactly what this does differently from other oils. At that price I’d expect life changing. Would love to hear from anyone who’s tried it.
The Beautiful Oil is available at kjaerweis.com. In the UK stockists include Netaporter and Content Beauty.
Oh, the 2 palettes sound really great!!! Hope it will reach Europe soon :-).
Regarding the KW beauty oil, it is definitely too expensive.

I hope so too! It is very pricey indeed though the big bottle size doesn’t help.
Thanks, I will pass as I have them separately xoxo
