Here’s a speedy snapshot of the marvellous beauty products that have pleased me greatly recently.
Sarah Chapman Skinesis Ultimate Cleanse
Why? I’ve had this in my cleanser closet – it’s one of those cleansers that make me sigh with contentment whenever I use it. Great as a balm as well as a wash-off cleanser.
Why? One sniff and I feel like singing “wake up it’s a beautiful morning”. The uplifting, zingy peppermint and eucalyptus fragrance blows the cobwebs right out. The company name (now Bodhi & Birch) and packaging has been changed since I bought this but the heavenly formula remains the same.
Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil, A’kin (Update: read a full review here)
Why? Turns out all rosehip oils are not equal. I was stunned at the difference in colour when I compared this to the previous oil I had been using. In short the deeper the colour, the better the quality. I’ve been using this in the morning as it sinks in quickly and adds a lovely radiance to the skin.
Lovely, Kjaer Weis Cream Blush
Why? I’ve neglected this blusher as I always reach for rms’ lip2cheek. After meeting the lovely Kirsten Kjaer Weis herself at the recent masterclass at Content and seeing her use it on somebody, I realized it was time to I showed it some love. It’s such a pretty natural pink on dark skin.
Wine & Dandy, Red Apple Lipstick lipstick
Why? This the lipstick I’ve worn the most in the last couple of months. It is the most pigmented vegan lipstick I’ve come across. A gorgeous rich wine colour with sublime texture and lip comfort.
Sunshine, Library of Fragrance
Why? Him Indoors absolutely loves this fragrance. It is the only thing I’ve EVER worn that he’s proactively commented on. “Mmmmm you smell amazing, what are you wearing?” was uttered. I’ve been using it to get the sunshine feeling despite the weather not playing ball.
Abraca-bam, Vegocentric Vegan Lipstick, Lippy Girl:
Why? It’s purple and it’s lipstick. nuff said.
Detailed reviews of all the above will be coming up soon.
